Apple release iOS 6.1 on 28 January 2013 which allows Vodacom users to make use of their LTE network.
In order to get LTE working on your device you will need the following:
- iPhone 5 (iPad 4th Generation and iPad Mini do NOT have support)
- Contact with Vodacom (Prepaid customers will not have access)
- SIM card that can use LTE (This should have come standard with your iPhone 5, If you cut your card it will not support LTE)
- Change the APN to "lte.vodacom.za"
To change the APN follow these steps:
Go to Settings
Select Cellular Data Network
Change the Cellular Data APN to: 'lte.vodacom.za'
