Apple have begun filling trademarks for iWatch around the world. So far the records show that Apple has filling in Russia, Japan, Taiwan, Mexico, Turkey, Colombia, Chile India and Jamaica.
Apple reportedly has over 100 staff working on the iWatch project. Rumours have been steadily increasing over the last year with predictions of a launch in 2013. However, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a good track record of predictions, has instead targeted a late 2014 release date for the iWatch.
In the passed Apple has tried to hide it's trademarks through shell companies but this time seem to be doing things differently. Could Apple be trying to generate news and rumours to create hype around a future product?
