Mac turns 30!

Michael Robert

24 January 1984 Steve Jobs took to the stage an d introduced the Macintosh, first mass-market personal computer featuring a graphical user interface and mouse. The world would never be the same...

Thirty years later and the Mac lives on in the for of the iMac. Although a slight change in name the iMac is the most recognised personal computer name in the world. Apple have used the term Mac in every one of their computers: Mac Pro, iMac, Mac Mini, Macbook Pro and Macbook Air.

Strangely the original Macintosh wasn't that popular and didn't sell very well.

The Mac will live on forever as the most popular personal computer...

To celebrate the 30th birthday of the original Apple Macintosh personal computer, iStore will be giving each customer who purchases a Mac, iPad or iPhone on the 24th of January an iStore gift voucher between the value of R200 and R10,000!

iStoreOnline customers who purchase a Mac, iPad or iPhone on the 24th January will receive a R200 coupon that they can use on future online purchases.
